At Metro Truck Body Builders, we’ve been building commercial truck bodies in our Seaford factory since 1989. Our beavertail bodies are fabricated here in Melbourne for carrying machinery, plant and equipment, with each build specified around the truck, its payload and the work it needs to do.
Tell us what you need to carry. Excavators, bobcats, scissor lifts, mowers, plant machinery, vehicles or other equipment. We work out the body, floor specification, loading setup and hydraulic ramps around the machinery going onto it. Lighter applications can use 3mm checkerplate, while heavier trucks and loads can require 5mm.

Metro builds double-acting hydraulic ramps as two individual ramps or a full-width ramp, with bi-fold configurations available where low machinery needs a longer loading approach. Tie-down points, toolboxes and other equipment can then be incorporated around the finished working setup.
